Easter Pictures!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter this past Sunday :-) We had a really fun and busy Easter and started the day off by going to the 9am service at our church! I couldn't WAIT to try Riley's Easter dress on her because it was absolutely gorgeous and exquisite! Mimi and Poppy had called a few weeks prior and said they wanted to get Riley's Easter dress up in DC. Then the other day we received a huge box from them filled with ALL KINDS of Easter goodies as well as this gorgeous princess dress that actually had the label, "Cinderella" in the tag. It totally was befitting of this huge, long and gorgeous dress! Mimi even sent 3 bows, shoes and a small sweater to go with the dress. Absolutely adorable! Thank you Mimi and Poppy for caring so much about sweet Riley and making hers and our Easter so memorable :-) We love you guys!

We got some pictures of the three of us right after the service before we went to dye Easter eggs. I thought about bringing our Easter outfits to my aunt's house later that day to do Easter pics with the rest of the family, but then decided against it. Everyone was going swimming and playing games and I didn't want to have to carry SO MUCH to Brenda's. So we just did Easter pics at our house :-) And here they are!

Riley and her handsome daddy :-) She was not super into smiling for most of these but at least you can see her dress!

The "show your teeth" Riley SOMEtimes works :-)
I wore this dress for Riley's pregnancy a few years ago but I wasn't as far along. So I think it fit MUCH better! The dress was definitely MUCH tighter this time around but I refused to go buy one for just a few hours!
Me and sweet baby Jack :-)
Bob said it looked like I had swallowed a beach ball :-)
Daddy got a little carried away and snapped quite a few pics of me :-)
And here is Riley and her sweet dress! Her bow was coming out but you can still see how pretty it is :-)
Mimi sent these adorable matching shoes that you can't really see but they were precious!

Talking a mile a minute here and using her hands :-)

This one is probably the cutest :-)
I like this one too but wish she was smiling a tad bit more!
She looks like she is posing here with her hands :-)
Bob snapped these two pics right before we went into church!
Me and my sweet baby girl looking so super cute! Needless to say, we got LOTS of compliments on Riley's dress :-)
Hope you all had a wonderful Easter! I'm going to try and get the pictures from Brenda or my mom's camera to upload some from her house that afternoon. We had SO much fun playing this one particular game called, "Corn Hole." Bob brought it with and it was a HUGE hit! Pics to follow! :-)

Coloring Easter Eggs! :-)

Easter was a super busy day for us but I'm glad because it was our last holiday with it being just Riley, Bob and I and sharing that special time together. After church we came back and dyed Easter Eggs and Riley absolutely LOVED it! Of course, it was a huge mess but she had a ball exploring and playing with all the different colors :-) Here are pics from Sunday late morning! We changed our clothes out of dress clothes before we did this...thank goodness! Oh yes, Easter pics will follow this post tomorrow!

Riley showing me one of her eggs!
Here is our spread :-)
Although we tried to say, "Gently drop the eggs in the water," it was more of a KERSPLASH! Ha-ha :-)
She constantly wanted to check each egg to see if it was turning colors :-)
Daddy wanted to help! :-)
Stirring the eggs with the little wand thingy!
"Mommy, I have a pink hand!"
Bob ate one of the eggs that she wasn't super gentle with and he left the yellow yoke out. So then she wanted to hold the yoke and squeeze it and for whatever reason, this was very thrilling for her :-)
SQUISH goes the yellow yoke!
Who know dying Easter Eggs could be so much fun! :-)

Random Pregnacy Pics....3rd trimester

Hi everyone! Bob uploaded some pictures from his phone to the computer last night and a bunch are some random ones of me in my 3rd trimester of pregnancy. I'll try to add caption to each one because they aren't really related to one another.

These two were taken one Saturday or Sunday afternoon when it was really warm out and we wanted to get outside for a bit. We took Elmo and Riley to the soccer fields by our house and let them run all around. Riley and I kicked her kick ball for a bit and then I sat on the bleachers nearby to rest. Bob snapped these two shots of me. I think I was around 34 or 35 weeks prego here.

This was taken about a month ago as well so I was around 34 or 35 weeks prego. Bob went on a motorcycle ride with a bunch of guys from church and Riley and I followed in the van. We went to this pancake house that's about an hour away but it's famous and well worth the drive! You cook the pancakes in front of you and it's tons of fun :-) The scenery around the place is beautiful as well! Here are two shots of Riley and I by the waterfall.

This was one particular morning when I was totally exhausted. I think this was probably 32 weeks prego or so because I hadn't gotten sick yet and I was sick for 4 weeks! I know I wasn't sick yet because I'm lying on my side here...something I haven't been able to do for the last 2 weeks! I remember Riley woke up and I was still so incredibly tired that I put Sesame Street on and laid down on the couch. Then she climbed up with her blanky and then Elmo jumped up in the crook of my legs. I had actually passed out (usually very hard for me to do if there is noise of any kind...even the tv!) because I remember waking up after Bob snapped this picture.
Here I am going through a few of the things I got at my baby shower :-) Riley was fascinated by a lot of the baby stuff so she was sitting next to me looking at everything. Of course Elmo had to be in on the action too so he's at my feet. That was about 2 weeks ago so I was...35 weeks prego here?

This was the day I severely hurt my back and had gone to the OB to get a 2nd round of antibiotics as well as a new cough medicine. I also was given Tylenol with Codeine in it. Normally I don't take stuff that strong so it made me totally loopy! I'm sitting in the new chair that Bob's parents got us for our anniversary. Seriously, this chair has saved my life these last 2 weeks. I don't know what I'd be doing right now without it. We covered it in a green sheet temporarily because we're going to do the protective spray ourselves rather than pay $80 for LazyBoy to do it. In this picture below, Bob had just come home from the furniture store with the chair and I was testing it out. I look awful but that's because I was in so much pain from my back and also the coughing and head cold. The combination was NOT fun!
This picture is so ridiculous and goofy, ha-ha :-) On this day we had just gotten back from a huge circus birthday party that my friend Katie threw for her 2 boys. She really went all out and it was a HUGE success. Riley was sent home with her own goody bag full of circus treats and games and in it was this red clown nose. So we all had to take turns putting it on and Bob snapped a pic of me wearing the clown nose :-) I am 37 weeks prego here because it was just this past weekend!
Okay Jack, time to come out now! I've been through the whole gamut with you buddy! :-)

37 weeks and 5 days pregnant :-)

Okay so I told Bob that I really wanted some prego pictures at the END of this pregnancy since I don't think I have any with Riley. And I'm not talking about pictures with my shirt over my belly but pictures of my actual belly! And since it's pretty much just family that looks at my blog and a few close friends, I am going to be super brave and ridiculous and post some! Hee-hee :-) So brace yourself and if you are too grossed out at the thought of a prego belly, you may want to change your URL address pronto! :-) These were from Monday night.

Left view :-) This side along my intercostal muscles absolutely KILLS me each day!
Front view! My deep innie belly button has actually completely stretched out so that it's just a flat circle now. No depth to it whatsoever! And you can't really tell, but around my belly button it's pretty purple. Agh!
Right side view! This side has a nasty blue vein that is right along the edge of my skin and goes all the way up my stomach. This is also the side that the baby is sleeping on so it's usually VERY lopsided and sticks out way more than the left. My stomach on this side hurts way more than even my intercostal muscles!
I am smiling but ha-ha, really want to be yelling, "Come out already! Come out!"
So are you totally scarred now that you have seen these? Hee-hee :-)

37 weeks and off to church we go!

Hi everyone! I know it's been a while since I've blogged but I am honestly just so tired at night that the thought of sitting at the computer does not sound appealing to me! I think it's mostly because my feet feel like lead weights and the longer I sit in the computer chair, the quicker the blood pools in my feet and they swell.

Tonight I wanted to try and get a few posts done (you can actually set them up in advance so they post automatically each day) so I'll do a few tonight so there are some that post each day :-)

We went to church this past Sunday and it felt so good to go because I haven't been in 4 weeks! Bob and Riley have gone but my coughing was just SO, so bad that I could have never sat in the service like that. So we went on Sunday and it was nice to be back.

Bob snapped 3 pictures of Riley and I ready to go in the morning. I tried to hold my pose and smile while he tried to get her to smile naturally! :-) Here they are!

He told her to "show her teeth" because usually that makes her smile naturally. This time though, all it did was make her point to her teeth :-)
And here she is again attempting to "show her teeth." Hee-hee :-)
As a side note here, when I picked her up from Sunday School, the teacher said that Riley was exceptional that day. She got to be the "song leader" and sang, "Oh be Careful Little Eyes/Ears/Mouth/etc" and she also lead, "I've got Peace Like a River." The teacher then picked up Riley and asked what we use the Bible for...as a hat? No! as a chair? No! Riley said, "We just read it Ms. Kim." Then Kim said, "Who is it about? Curious George?" "No!" said Riley. "It's about God!" She is such a cutie :-) I'm so glad she is growing and will have such a strong foundation and faith she can carry with her throughout her entire life!

Car Wash Time!

Hi everyone! No commentary tonight...just pictures. I am still sick and my head feels like it's going to explode. But wanted to take a few minutes to update my blog since it's been a while. Thanks to Mimi for giving my blog a makeover with a new background! It looks super cute Jen :-)

These are pictures of one Saturday afternoon recently when Bob was washing the car and Riley was supposedly "helping." It was actually more that she was having a super fun time in the bucket of bubbles and it was really cute to watch :-) Here are some of the pics that I took that day!
