The Pool at Grandma's House!

3-day weekend...yay! Riley and I were super excited to get to spend the entire weekend with our favorite person...daddy :-) Not only that but we then took a road trip to Bob's parents for the weekend and here are the first day's pics!

When we first arrived, Grandma had lots of snacks set out for us! Riley was totally into the cucumbers. Both she and her daddy have an obsession with cucumbers.
We then went right into the pool! Grandma bought Riley this new bathing suit but it was a smidgen tight in the hiny, hee-hee :-) So it was returned.
Bob grabbed a hold of the squirt gun and started spraying us.....stinker that he is :-) Look at that mischevious smile!
And then IN went Riley and Elmo
Elmo's butt needed a little extra boost to get over the ledge.
Riley is kicking on the new bar that Grandpa attached to the side of the pool.
Notice Elmo swimming after Bob here. That dog is part FISH!! He dives into the pool from anywhere and just swims all over. If he gets tired, he just hops on a float!
Riley and I were playing with the little plastic toys on the side of the pool. Elmo was trying to attack the noodle!
Here is Bob positioning himself to hop on that huge float, hee-hee :-)
And DOWN HE GOES!! :-)
Family moment on the step. Elmo just figured that out and hurries over to join us :-)
Bob chucks him on the float :-) We decided that the float basically holds up furry animals but not necessarily humans.
I don't think there were enough floats in the pool ;-)
I somehow managed to get on but was VERY careful!
Chillin in the living room. Bob was having fun with his train set that he had growing up. That thing is HUGE and ellaborate! Probably worth a LOT of money these days too.
Riley had just given me a kiss but the camera was 2 seconds to slow to catch it.
Bob snapped a shot of me here :-)
My shirt says, "I love my husband." We were getting ready to leave to go out and see, "Iron Man 2."
Awe :-) Another kiss
Riley was trying to look at the pool and saying, "Pool! Pool! Pool!" over and over again. She also found it fun to stand on the Wii Fit board :-)
She looks so grown up here!! I think she will be a very good big sister to whoever her new sibling is :-)
She totally doesn't get the train concept. She is driving her car on the tracks.

Think someone might need a diaper change here seeing as how it's resting separately on the floor, hee-hee
Mommy/Riley love
WOW!
She LOVES the car! Did I mention that Riley's first word was "car?"
Being silly :-)
She decided to help daddy play the role of train conductor.
Getting sleepy. Almost time for bed :-)
Fun first day at Grandma and Grandpa's!

The Big News!

Hi everyone! Happy Memorial Day weekend! Hope you are all enjoying your 3-day weekend and this gorgeous weather!! Well, you probably noticed the title which said "The Big News" and since I pretty much have family only that reads this thing, I figured that by now, those of you that read this probably know that I am preggers with number 2...yay! Super excited but don't think it's quite settled in with me yet. I still feel fine and nothing is out of the ordinary yet with my body so hard to believe! Well maybe more tired but I think that's normal in the beginning.

On the day that Grandma came to visit, Thursday, is the day that I was like, "Hmmmm...I am 4 days late. Maybe should try one last time to see if I am preggers?" So I did the test and it said in big letters, "Pregnant." Wow how kewl! :-) Anyways, I'm sure there will be plenty more blogs about this pregnancy but for now, don't really have much else to say about it since it's all so new! So I posted some pictures of the day that Grandma came to visit and we all went to hot dog heaven to meet Daddy for lunch! :-)
Here is Riley being a ham :-) I'm hanging out on the couch with Bob's mom Donna's laptop, looking at the pictures of her at a wedding in Chicago.
Headed to Hotdog Heaven! When you say, "Riley smile!" this is what she does :-) Squints!
When we arrived, Riley decided to peek out one of the doors because it had bars on it. Now if only we were able to capture that image on the other side of the door with her peaking through the bars! Hee-hee :-)
Here is mommy stuffing her face with one of their chili cheese dogs :-) Not so very flattering pic of me, ha-ha :-)
Squinty eyes! :-) We both have that, "huh?" look on our face.
After lunch, Riley decided to run around while we finished eating. She does NOT like to sit while the rest of us finish our food. She would much more prefer to eat in 2 seconds and then get down and run around. So we are currently working on that :-)
Bob and I then left to go somewhere and Grandma took Riley home for nap. Guess she snuck in a pack of gumies for dessert first ;-) Notice Elmo patiently waiting for one to drop.
Grandma and Riley also stopped by the grocery store on the way home and picked up this HUGE balloon of Minnie! Riley couldn't wait to show me when I got back.
When I got home, Riley was just waking up. She sat in my lap for a few minutes to show me the Mickey on a stick and the huge Minnie balloon.
My sister was over so she got to hear the preggers news too :-)
Awe :-) Still a bit sweepy :-)

More Memorial Day weekend pics to come!!

Meeting Daddy at Work for Lunch!

I wanted to say THANK YOU so much to all of you who called, emailed, texted or prayed for Riley when she got hurt yesterday. It really, really, really means so much to me! What amazing and awesome friends and family I have :-) Love-love-love you! Also, thanks Sue for your sweet comment on my blog yesterday. You are such a great encourager :-) Love you!!

And Jen, thank you for writing another comment after your first one got deleted! What's with that? So totally bizarre! I didn't get a chance to read your first comment but did read your second and was like, "What on earth happened?!" So sorry about that! Hopefully comments will not randomly disappear like that again. Thus far it hasn't happened yet so hopefully it won't happen again! Thanks for always writing comments though. I LOVE reading yours and my aunt Susans and look forward to when I get them!! Love you!

Okay so the pictures below are obviously from BEFORE Riley's incident. I have tons I can still upload from before that so I'll probably use those pictures for a while until Riley's face looks a bit better :-)

I do have to say that today when I was walking around the lake, I got the most HORRIFIC and AWFUL stares from people! Riley has a huge black eye and some minor cuts on her cheek and I'll admit that it looks really awful. But the LOOKS on people's faces were enough to drive me mad! I wanted to say, "Um, can I help you?" or "Um, is there something you'd like to say?"

I was actually REALLY wanting to tell every single person that gave me a hard, cold, ruthless look that, "a dresser fell on her face and pinned her down!" But people just kept walking and I just kept getting random hard stares and WOW was I glad to get home! So needless to say, I think we will be lying low for a few days :-)

Thank heaven for sweet friends who have opened up their homes to Riley and I for playdates over the next few days! Not only do we LOVE playdates any time of the year and getting out of the house, but we LOVE our friends and really appreciate each of them having us over...and especially this week when poor Riley's face is such a mess!

Recently Riley and I went to visit Bob for a daddy lunch and it was a lot of fun :-) She LOVES running around Bob's job and of course, even the toughest of tough men will smile at her when they see her cutsy antics, hee-hee :-)

Here she is having a ball at daddy's job! This picture is after lunch when we were running around the field out back.
Relaxing for a minute :-)
Prancing through the grass!
Bob put her up in one of the huge truck beds. For some reason, this really thrills her and she LOVES to jump!
I think she was saying, "Belly?"
"Boy everything looks different from up here!"
Pensively thinking
She looks so tiny next to the huge semi trailer
"Wee! I love when daddy swings me!"
Bob was walking with her like this and she loved it.
Such a fun lunch with daddy :-)
