Father's Day and Riley's Bday Celebration x 3!!

It's taken me a few days to get any more pictures up because of how incredibly SLOW our computer modem is but now that we are at Bob's parent's house for the weekend, I was able to quickly finish uploading these for my next post! Yay! :-)

These pictures are from Father's Day when we celebrated both Father's Day with Grandpa AND Riley's birthday. It was fun but also relaxing :-)

Here is the yummy cake we had for Riley's bday! She immediately wanted to pull off the Mickey and Minnie Mouse and play with them :-)
Bob and I had just gotten home from church (we went to the early service) and here is Riley just seeing Grandpa and Grandma. She was a bit shy at first :-)
Here we are getting ready to open birthday presents!
Oooh, what's this?!
A Snow White princess book!
Time for another present!
Riley has totally gotten into opening presents now :-)
Grandpa and Grandma got her a really cool Lego set! It has the whole Disney's Car theme to it!
Next we pulled Mickey Mouse out of a bag! Woo-hoo!! :-)
Walking around with Mickey!
All smiles :-)
This was the adorable birthday card that Grandma picked out. It was a princess theme and had stickers with it! Riley has really started enjoying stickers as of late.
Daddy's turn to open his gift!
Riley decided to go and play with her new car.
Family picture on Father's Day :-) Happy Father's Day honey! You are the best Father ever :-)
Having fun with Grandpa!

More family pictures!

Tickle time!
Two amazing men :-)
Awe :-) Riley was giving Grandpa a kiss.

She is addicted to her sunglasses now. So cute! We at the moment can't find them but hopefully they'll turn up soon.
Relaxing time :-)
"Up Grandpa! Up!"
LOVE how she puts the sunglasses on her head. Totally has copied me on that for a few weeks now, ha-ha :-)
Later we changed out of her dress and I put on a special shirt just for that day :-) It said, "I love my Grandpa."
Awe :-)
Playing with her princess card :-)
Being silly before cake time :-)
At this point the candles were lit and she was reaching for them so I held her arm down for a second. She IMMEDIATELY wanted to start blowing them out :-)
Then we sang, "Happy Birthday" and then it was time to blow out the candles! Riley has such an adorable look on her face. It's like pure excitement and totally happiness that we're singing her favorite song :-) We gave her a few tries and then mommy and daddy helped blow the candles out :-)
Cutting the cake! Riley was busy licking all the icing off all the figurines :-)
Very serious look here :-) Not sure what she was staring at!
YUM...icing.
The cake was super DEEEE-lish :-)
Here is Riley showing off her shirt and her little Mickey and Minnie figurines. Can you tell she is in love with Mickey Mouse?
Overall it was an awesome Father's Day and a terrific family birthday for Riley :-) Thank you Grandpa and Grandma for coming to spend the day with us and the adorable presents and cake too! We love you both!

Nana's Birthday n Riley's Family Bday Celebration

For Riley's bday, we decided to split it up so she can celebrate with her little buddies once and then have separate times to get doted on by family members, hee-hee :-) It actually worked out really nicely because she was able to see her friends and Mi-Mi one day, Grandpa and Grandma on Father's Day (those pictures to come) and Nana and Pa on my mom's birthday. We decided to actually do a joint birthday to celebrate Nana and Riley together so that was fun :-)

We had over my mom and Chuck, Brenda and Jim, my sister Katie and Ms. Betty. It was so fun hanging out with everyone and celebrating 2 very special birthdays :-)

One of my mom's best friends of all times is Ms. Betty. She is basically another family member to us. She has been in my life pretty much my ENTIRE life and I love her so much! SO super sweet and loving :-) I'm so happy she was able to come on this night!

Nana bought party blowers for the occasion and Riley had a ball with them!

She was very determined :-)

Once she had it figured out, there was no stopping her!

Nana is such a ham :-) Here she is trying to take a picture of Riley with her party favor. Obviously she doesn't have her glasses on :-)

Thank you Nana for the cute party dress!!

Two of the best women in the whole world! :-) Their smiles are so contagious and light up any room.

Loving her hat

Sweet Nana and Pa :-)

Bob was being a ham here. Notice he also didn't want to do the norm and wear the hat on TOP of his head. It had to be crooked :-)

Having fun

Riley was addicted to that party favor!

Here Pa! You try!

Then Bob got a bit MORE goofy :-) He decided the hat looked better on his shoulder :-)

The 3 sweetest ladies!

The three sweetest men!

Riley's yummy birthday cake! She is in love with ladybugs so Nana went and got a ladybug cake :-) It was chocolate with red frosting on the inside and Riley and I DEVOURED it! I think chocolate is prolly her favorite too :-)

Nana's cake was made by Brenda. She did a rum cake that was to DIE FOR! Here is Nana's piece :-)

The birthday girl :-)

Nana showing Riley the ladybug placemat

Time to sing, "Happy Birthday!"

Riley LOVES this song

YUM...time to eat

My lips are black mommy!

Oooooh.....eyes

Black lips!

Hee-hee :-)

Everyone enjoying their cake!

After Riley and I had both eaten our pieces, we decided to show off our tongues :-)

Aunt Brenda decided to bring Riley a mirror to shower her her face. It was hillarious to see Riley's reaction :-)

Here Aunt Katie! Try a piece!

Playing with the ladybug pieces
Time for presents!

A book from Ms. Betty! Thank you Ms. Betty! One of Riley's favorite things to do is read.

Ooooooh, what's this gift?
Nana is opening her card from Ms. Betty :-) Aunt Katie is eating a piece of pizza from Mellow Mushroom, this AMAZING and YUMMY pizza restaurant that's near Bob and I. It's currently one of our favorite places to eat! Thanks Pa for getting the pizza!
Oh wow! This is a Minnie/Mickey Mouse plastic figurine set that Bob and I got her at Disney. Riley FLIPPED OUT
Although Nana looks like she might be getting ready to cry here, she was totally getting ready to laugh at Ms. Betty's card :-) It was hillarious.
One of the sweetest couples I know :-)
Nana and Pa got Riley some stackable blocks.
Oh wow! What's this? Nana and Pa got Riley an ART EASEL! Woo-hoo! We didn't take it out that night but were very excited to use it :-) Thank you Nana and Pa! So awesome!
Aunt Brenda gave my mom a purse from Coldwater Creek. So pretty :-)
I got this little frame for my mom a while back when I was in Virginia and was going to give it to her for Mother's Day but then decided to wait until her bday. It says, "In this Garden, the Cats in Charge." SO TRUE at my mom's house!
Riley is playing with her new Mickey Mouse figurine that Bob and I got.
Auntie Katie is so pretty :-) She was eating some of the salad that Ms. Betty made and brought. It was SOOO super delish. Katie and I had like, 2 full helpings each!
Riley had fun with Aunt Brenda :-)
Okay so now the next thing that happened was just CRAZY and Bob and I couldn't BELIEVE IT! Let me explain :-)
While we were opening gifts, the doorbell rang. I went to answer it and there was the lady across the streets daughter. The daughter works during the school year and her parents who live across the street from Bob and I watch their daughter's children during the school year. Well the daughter was at the door (who I had never met cause it's her parents that live across the street). She said to me, "Hey we are getting ready to go to Goodwill to drop some stuff off and we have this huge Lego princess castle that we were wondering if you'd want instead of us dropping it off at Goodwill." I asked her if she was SURE and then when she said "yes," I was like, "Okey dokey, that sounds great!" So then she said, "I'll be right back." She then came and dropped off 3 large white garbage bags FILLED with pink Legos for this princess castle.
Well then Bob was super excited and immediately started putting it together :-)
It is seriously like, so awesome and fun and I am sure they spent hundreds of dollars for this thing! Riley LOVES it and let me just tell you, now that it's been a few days since we got this and I'm typing this post, we've had tons of opportunity to play with the castle and Riley LOVES it! Bob even added a few cool additions to it but I'll save that for another post. For now, here is the castle! Perfect timing with Riley's birthday being here! We are SO TRULY BLESSED!
There are flags on each corner of this thing!
I LOVE this picture! 3 generations together :-)
Daddy setting up some more :-)

Having fun in the castle :-)In pajamas now :-) It was a long, fulfilling day :-)
Here Bob rearranged the Legos. You can totally readjust them however you want!
Riley loves being lifted in the air by Pa :-)
Some fun before bed! Aunt Brenda let Riley ride on her back and Riley was giggling like crazy :-)
More lifting! She decided to lift her arms here :-)
Fun with Aunt Brenda! For Riley's birthday, Aunt Brenda opened a separate savings account for Riley and she said that any time she makes a few extra bucks, she's going to put that money into Riley's account. So awesome Brenda! Thank you so much!! Extremely thoughtful gift that Riley will definitely be able to use when she is older.
Wee!
Happy Birthday Nana and Riley! What a great time together. Love you all! Thank you for all the gifts and the yummy cake :-)
